AZIZALIA

Hi! I am Zahra, founder of the label Azizalia. When I traveled to Pakistan after many years to visit my father's family, I was fascinated by the country's craftsmanship. But also shocked at how little traditional craftsmanship is used, even though the country is one of the largest exporters of the fast fashion industry. What is produced there does not represent the skills of local producers in any way, but is limited exclusively to the fast trends of the western world. This was an incentive to found a jewelry label that unites both worlds: Indian traditions with European modernity. I found the right partner in Iqra, my niece, a textile designer who has been designing traditional wedding dresses for 15 years and selling them to the Indian-Pakistani diaspora in the US. Over the past few years we have embarked on a journey, that has now found a destination. We have transformed the twisted cords that are used to tie sari blouses into individual and unique jewelry, which can be transformed into a personal one-of-a-kind piece – using your own pendants or pendants purchased from us. Each chain is turned by hand by our producer and attached to the gold-plated clasp at the ends. As soon as the chains arrive in Germany, you can individually refine them with a pendant here and treat yourself to something or give them away as a gift. Have lots of fun with it!
