GMICB NHS Community Gastroenterology Service in Greater Manchester Our key services: Gastroscopy Gastroscopy uses a flexible tube to examine the oesophagus, stomach, and small intestine for diagnosis and treatment. Colonoscopy A colonoscopy inspects the large bowel for polyps, cancer, and other abnormalities using a flexible camera. Flexible Sigmoidoscopy This procedure examines the lower part of the large intestine to diagnose issues like polyps and cancer. We pride ourselves on our ability to support healthcare organisations in reducing their waiting times. Providing services in the North West using our specially recruited team of Clinicians, Nursing staff, Healthcare Assistants and Decontamination staff.
