Gungahlin Bird Proofing

Canberra is a beautiful city, but its diverse bird population can often cause significant headaches for homeowners and commercial property managers. Gungahlin Bird Proofing was established to provide the local community with a dedicated, professional, and humane solution to avian pest problems. We are not just a general pest control company; we are specialists who focus on the complex art of bird exclusion and property protection. The rise of solar energy in the ACT has brought an unintended consequence—an explosion in the local pigeon population. Solar panels provide the perfect environment for pigeons: they offer warmth, shelter from the wind, and protection from predators. Unfortunately, when birds move in, they bring corrosive droppings, flammable nesting materials, and bird mites. Gungahlin Bird Proofing specializes in solar panel protection. We use premium, industry standard mesh systems that clip onto the panels without the need for drilling or screws, ensuring your manufacturer's warranty remains intact. This physical barrier stops birds and other pests from accessing the underside of your panels, preserving their efficiency and preventing long term damage to your electrical wiring. Every property is different, which is why we don't believe in a one size fits all approach. Our team conducts thorough site assessments to identify the specific species involved and their behavioral patterns. Our range of services includes: * Bird Spikes and Ledge Protection Ideal for commercial buildings, signage, and residential eaves, our discreet spiking systems prevent birds from landing and roosting on flat surfaces. * Professional Bird Netting For larger areas like balconies, courtyards, or warehouse ceilings, we install durable, UV stabilized netting that provides a total exclusion zone. * Cleaning and Sanitization Bird droppings, or guano, are highly acidic and can carry over 60 different diseases. We provide professional pressure washing and biocidal treatments to safely remove waste and eliminate the risk of respiratory issues or property erosion. * Gutter and Eave Sealing We identify and seal entry points where smaller birds like starlings and sparrows often find their way into roof cavities. eing based in Gungahlin means we are never far away when you need us. We pride ourselves on our punctuality, transparency, and deep understanding of the local environment. We know how the Canberra seasons affect bird behavior—from the spring nesting rush to the winter seeking of warmth. Our commitment to the community is reflected in our workmanship. We use only the highest grade materials designed to withstand the harsh Australian sun and the freezing Canberra winters. When you work with Gungahlin Bird Proofing, you are supporting a local business that cares about the safety and aesthetics of your neighborhood. We believe in humane practices. All our deterrents are designed to change the behavior of the birds by making your property an unattractive place to land or nest, effectively encouraging them to move elsewhere without causing them physical injury.
